Dr. Matt Nance
Matt Nance has served as Executive Director of CHLF since 2020, following eight years as a mission team leader in Jordan. He was ordained in 2012 and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Johnson University (formerly Johnson Bible College). He earned his PhD in Mission Theology and Intercultural Studies from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies in Oxford, England.
Matt also serves as an adjunct professor at Johnson University, where he teaches courses in missions, intercultural communication, and Middle Eastern studies. His academic training and years of cross-cultural experience shape his ability to interpret and communicate the realities, challenges, and lived faith of the Holy Land with clarity and depth.
Matt Johnson
Matt Johnson came to CHLF with the foundation of sixteen years in senior ministry. In addition to his ministry degree from Cincinnati Christian University, he holds degrees in vocal performance from Ball State University. Matt also worked at Johnson University as the Director of Community Engagement from 2019 to 2025.
Matt brings a pastoral heart to each interaction with both our partners overseas and the churches and groups he speaks to in the United States. A gifted storyteller, he ties in biblical narratives and truths as he shares about the people and ministries we support in the Holy Land.
