So Much Is Happening In Galilee!

Together with our supporters, we have stood with our friends in the Holy Land through a long season of upheaval and uncertainty. The pressures of daily life remain, but so does the faithful, steady work of the local church.

Across Galilee, our team continues to gather people in homes and churches, study Scripture with them, pray through their struggles, and build relationships grounded in the love of Christ. These gatherings may appear small by our standards, but they provide something deeply needed: a place to belong, to be strengthened in faith, and to encounter the hope of Jesus alongside others.

We wanted to share a few glimpses of what that ministry looks like right now.

In Shefa’amr, Lina and Hanna have formed a close relationship with two women whose passion for the Gospel continues to grow. As these women visit homes throughout the city, they are sharing God’s Word and inviting others into fellowship gatherings in their own homes.

Through their relationships, Lina and Hanna are now connecting with families they might never otherwise have met. The body of Christ is growing through ordinary acts of faithfulness; one visit, one conversation, and one invitation at a time.

In Cana, Shifa meets regularly with a group of five women. They recently completed a Bible study on the life of Moses, reflecting on God’s protection and sustaining love from his birth through his final years.

As the women studied together, they began sharing more openly about the ways God had remained faithful through their own difficult seasons. Each gathering ended with the women praying God’s promises over one another.

Three of the five women are not currently connected to the church in Cana and might never have felt comfortable walking into a church service on their own. The home group has given them a welcoming first step into Christian fellowship. We are praying with Shifa that their faith will continue to deepen and that others will be drawn into this community.

Also in Cana, Ekhlas and Ibrahim are discipling adults and young adults as they seek God’s direction for their lives, relationships, and ministries.

They are currently walking closely with two women who have experienced significant trauma within their families. Ekhlas and Ibrahim have become a steady source of comfort and encouragement, grieving with them, praying for restoration, and reminding them that they do not have to carry their pain alone.

They also recently met with a young man who serves in a Messianic Jewish congregation, offering counsel as he considers his spiritual growth and calling to ministry. Although their Christian backgrounds differ, they share a desire to serve God’s Kingdom, a unity in Christ that reaches across the divisions surrounding them.

Near the Lebanese border, Randa and Bshara’s churches in Beine and Rameh recently gathered for a summer conference. The love and fellowship among the church members were evident, and a new family attended and heard the message of Christ for the first time.

Four women from Muslim backgrounds are also now regularly attending church with Randa and Bshara. Their presence reflects the trust that has been built over time and the love, safety, and belonging they have experienced within this Christian community.

These stories remind us why CHLF remains committed to investing in local Christians.

Our ministry partners are not visitors to these communities. They live there. They understand the language, history, relationships, and daily realities of their neighbors. They recognize needs that outsiders can easily miss, and they have cultivated the trust that allows them to enter homes, walk alongside hurting families, and share the hope of Christ with patience and integrity.

Life for our team in Galilee is not easy. They continue to face instability, division, and uncertainty. Yet they choose to remain rooted in their communities because they love their neighbors and believe that God is still at work among them.
